YFJ process towards YIA 2.0, survey out now!
Dear friends
The European Youth Forum is busy working on the process towards the development of a new YIA programme and needs your expertise!
The future of YIA:
The debate about Youth on the Move is going on in full force within the Commission. Contrarily to earlier plans, it seems now that YiA will remain a separate programme within the political frame of YOM, but the final decision has not been taken yet.
The Commission has started the preparation of the consultation that will start this fall and will consist of an online consultation (starting from 15/09) and several meetings.
The two big meetings will both be co-organised by the European Youth Forum:
*the YIA consultation day in the Membership Support Week on 08/09
*the European Stakeholder Forum on LLLP/YIA at the end of October.
The whole process is laid out in the Commission Roadmap which can be found here
YFJ consultation
The YFJ has its own consultation process aiming to have a policy paper on YiA 2.0 adopted at the General Assembly in November. This consultation started in 2008, which led to a first outline of a future YiA programme. On this we will build now with a further online survey to get more input from you on areas where we are still missing: your needs, the impact of a new youth programme, new possible actions, the scope etc.
This survey will be the basis for the YiA consultation day in September where we will discuss with YFJ MO's and the European Commission on a joint vision of youth organisations in Europe. The results of the working groups discussing the outcomes of the survey will be the basis of the foreseen policy paper on YIA.
